John F. Sendelbach ~ A Career of Transition, March 2025
Deerfield Academy plaza design w/ my polished apple cider millstone fountain
Chuck and Denise, who oversaw the grounds at Deerfield Academy back when, paid me a visit after being inspired by the Bridge of Flowers pothole fountain. They asked if I could take a look at a space they were considering for a water feature. We met on-site, and my first question was, “What are we using for stone?” Someone mentioned that the school had a collection of old millstones in an underutilized feature on the edge of campus, originally donated by esteemed alumni. We decided to repurpose all of them. I also fabricated a silverplated pump housing which is out of sight.
For the centerpiece, they brought a large apple cider wheel to my friend’s place, where I carved and polished the top to prepare it as a fountain. Once it was finished, they retrieved the stone and proceeded with the installation. The Goshen stone that fills it in was my adaptive design contribution, while the rest of the brick structures was already in place. This year, they’re redoing the entire feature, so these pictures serve as relics of the past.

A Journey Through Unjust Defamation and a Path Toward Reclamation
For the past several years, I’ve lived under the weight of false accusations and character defamation that have cast a long shadow over my life. What began as an isolated attack on my integrity quickly spiraled into a series of unfounded claims, each more damaging than the last. The ripple effects of these actions have touched every aspect of my life, from my personal relationships to my professional career.
This saga is not just my own—it is part of a larger, ongoing cycle of toxic behavior that has, over time, become normalized. What was once a personal attack became a public spectacle, fueled by false narratives and misdirected outrage. Throughout this journey, I’ve watched as my name was dragged through the mud, my work mischaracterized, and my reputation left in tatters.
For years, I remained silent, withdrawn by the fear of what revealing the truth would cost me. The damage already done seemed so vast, and the public perception so entrenched, that stepping forward felt like an act of futility. But today, that changes.
I am here, not to seek pity or accolades, but to take back control of my story. This website is not just an attempt to clear my name—it is the beginning of a long and necessary process to correct the record, set the facts straight, and ensure that those who participated in this campaign of defamation are held accountable.
But this journey is not just about my own redemption. It is about something much larger—the idea that the truth, no matter how long hidden, will eventually come to light. And when it does, the consequences for those who have participated in the distortion of that truth will be undeniable.
An alternate website dedicated to this mission is already in place, containing comprehensive evidence and details of the ongoing case. Though the link is not yet public, it will soon be revealed, shedding light on the full scope of this situation. As the truth unfolds, those who have contributed to this defamation will face the natural course of accountability. However, there is a path for those involved to make things right. In fact, the first step toward amends is already in motion. If certain individuals or organizations publicly acknowledge their role in this process, if they take the simple but powerful step of issuing an apology, I will gladly make that part of the public record. This will be an act of good faith, a sign that they are ready to right their wrongs and show a commitment to fairness.
Those who step forward and make amends will be protected, their names cleared in the eyes of the public. But for those who choose not to, the truth will eventually reveal itself—unmistakable and unrelenting.
I hope that this message resonates not just as my own catharsis but as a call to those who may yet find themselves implicated in this story. The opportunity to make things right is real, and it’s available to all who have been swept up in this storm. I stand ready to rebuild, not only for myself but for everyone whose life was touched by this injustice.
In the coming weeks and months, the alternate website will evolve, offering more clarity on the full scope of the situation. As the legal process progresses and the evidence becomes public, more individuals will be able to see the facts for what they truly are. Those who understand the power of making amends now will find themselves in a much better position than those who wait until the truth is unavoidable.
The choice is in your hands. The truth is already unfolding, and how you respond to it will determine the next chapter.
This is my story, but it does not end with me. It is a story of redemption, justice, and, ultimately, the reclamation of what was lost.
